Stonescale Eel is a valuable coastal fish found in special pools called Stonescale Eel Swarms. With a minimum fishing skill of 205 and 300 to avoid getaways, this eel is a sought-after reagent for crafting Stonescale Oil, used in high-level alchemy recipes like Flask of the Titans and Greater Stoneshield Potion.

Fishing tips

Fishing Tip: Drop rates are significantly higher from 12 AM to 12 PM. Fishing during this window can improve yields by up to 20%. Be sure to clear other pools to encourage Stonescale Eel spawns. Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris is the safest of the good spots — the coast is quiet and close to a flight point. Horde players are better served by Revantusk Village in the Hinterlands.
