WoW Classic Warrior Guide
The only class raids will ask to tank — and the one that hits hardest once geared.

Warriors hold both ends of Classic melee. In a raid one of them stands in front of the boss keeping its attention, and the rest stand behind it doing more damage than anyone else in the game can. Nothing else does either job as well, which is why a Classic raid roster is mostly warriors and why a fresh warrior is the least likely character to be turned away.
The catch is that none of that is true at level 20. Rage only builds when you are being hit or hitting something, so a warrior with a bad weapon and no healer is the slowest, most fragile leveller on the list. It is the clearest gear-dependent class in the game: the same character that struggles alone in Duskwood becomes the strongest melee in Molten Core with the right axe.
Protection is the tanking tree, Fury is the two-weapon damage tree, and Arms sits between them — strong while levelling and a PvP staple, less so in a raid.
Talent trees
A Warrior spends 51 talent points by level 60 across three trees. Open any of them in the calculator, build what you want, and share the link.
Where to train a Warrior in Classic
Every warrior trainer in Classic, by zone. Coordinates come from the 1.12 game data, not from a present-day map: Cataclysm redrew several of these zones, and a modern percentage points at ground the Classic map does not contain.

Race is not cosmetic in Classic — racials like Will of the Forsaken, Stoneform and Fear Ward change how the class plays, particularly in PvP.
Strengths and weaknesses
What it is good at
- The best tank and the best melee damage in the game
- Always wanted in a group
- Every weapon type, every armour type
What it struggles with
- Weakest of all classes without gear
- No healing of its own
- Rage means a slow, awkward start to every fight
